01Summary

This project aimed to supply compute hardware, endpoints, and high-speed connectivity components that can be used within an infrastructure geared towards virtual desktop applications for a technical industrial entity. The supplies included a high-memory enterprise server, alongside remote access endpoint terminals, display monitors, a network switch equipped with high-speed ports, network adapters, and interconnect cables.

02Requirements

The project scope included supplying a high-memory enterprise server, endpoints, and network connectivity components. The supply requirements entailed securing computing hardware with advanced processing capabilities and memory capable of hosting multiple workloads, in addition to providing endpoint devices for users and equipment capable of supporting high data transfer capacities.

03Technical fit

The supplied components provide high-memory compute resources, endpoints, and fast network connectivity components that can be used within a virtual desktop environment upon completion of the required design, software platform, storage, and configurations. The number of runnable sessions or virtual desktops cannot be determined based on server specifications alone; it depends on user profiles, applications, and software design. The server also includes a storage network adapter, providing a possible interface to connect with a compatible environment, and this study does not cover creating the software fabric or storage path configurations.

04Documented scope

  • Enterprise server hardware supply
  • Thin client endpoint supply

05Key components

01 High-Memory Enterprise Server — 1 server — High-memory enterprise server.
02 Thin Client Terminal — 201 devices — Remote access endpoint terminals for virtual environments.
06·Delivery record

The project file records an actual duration of 70 days against a contractual 75 days. The new supplies included a high-memory enterprise server, terminal access devices, displays, a network switch, alongside storage drives, network adapters, and short-reach interconnect cables.
